On todays episode, we welcome back the OG James Fitzgerald. This time we chat about what it really takes to compete in the sport of CrossFit.
James Fitzgerald is the founder of OPEX and the International Center for Fitness. His 20+ years of experience and service as a strength coach/technician, tireless practice on refining energy system work, nutritional and lifestyle balancing techniques and training of other coaches has made OPEX a sought after method of bringing fitness to a higher order.
James has found a desire and passion to understanding fitness through assessment, testing, research, programming and more. He has had many years experience as an athlete from early childhood into adulthood, from playing top level soccer, short and long distance running to CrossFit where he was crowned “The Fittest on Earth”, Winner of the 2007 CrossFit Games.

Tasia is more than just one of the most recognizable athletes in CrossFit. She is also one of the kindest and most inspirational. Tasia has been an individual Games competitor, a multi-time Games Team Champion on the CrossFit Mayhem team alongside Rich Froning. She also acts as a coach to the impressive Haley Adams, as well as doing valuable work with the CrossFit Mayhem Mission initiative. Right now, Connor Duddy is competing at the CrossFit Games. Connor started CrossFit in 2011. He is a full-time coach at Solidarity CrossFit since 2016. Connor has been a competitive athlete since 2016.

Tommy Marquez is a CrossFitter and has been working in the CrossFit space for 10 years now. After originally working in the field of Psychology/Mental health, he switched to be a CF trainer full-time and help Open an affiliate early in 2010. He started working for CF Media in 2011 as a production assistant, handling various jobs, before getting the opportunity to write content for the Update Show, and eventually present my own content as an on-air commentator/host/analyst in 2014.

Annie Sakamoto started Crossfit in 2004, opened up an affiliate in 2008 and competed as an Individual at the Games in 2011 and 2012 and then again as a Master in 2016 and 2017. She's been married for 15 years and has a 12-year-old daughter, Dylan and a 10-year-old son, Israel.
