3 Ways to Improve Your Gymnastics Capacity
In the sport of CrossFit your ability to perform gymnastics, perform gymnastics well, and perform gymnastics for a shit ton of reps is pivotal. I have seen so often athletes jump stages in their training which ultimately leads to a “functional ceiling” created with in their abilities. This “functional ceiling” is referring to how many reps they can essentially perform and sustain within a workout. So, why does this functional ceiling get created? Basically it’s from a lack of proper progression while building their gymnastics skills. So, below I am going to outline three ways to not only improve your CrossFit gymnastics capacity, but also continually work to improve your functional ceiling.
Best Way To Program for CrossFit Competitions
Everyone has their own methods and progressions for competitions, but I have a system that I believe leads to success when programming workouts. My rule is simple, start with the highest neurologically demanding workout/test and work your way down the systems to the most aerobic.
How to Program for CrossFit Masters Athletes
I am not sure if it is my age, or my connection, which is growing, to this community, but I am falling deeper and deeper in love with the programming around CrossFit Masters athletes. I feel this could be from the understanding and appreciation of their work ethic. These people usually have families, and full time jobs, yet they get the work day in and day out with very little complaining or excuses.
CrossFit Remote Coaching for Competitions
The problem that I see with a lot of remote crossfit coaching lies within the coaching. The space is becoming saturated, and with the saturation you will get an influx of people looking to make a dollar. So the coaching, the programming, and the connection will become watered down as people price shop and/or program hop. So, here are a few things that people should be looking for, or receiving with their CrossFit remote coaching program.
How Online Personal Programming Should Be Done
In the virtual training space, there are a few principles, as I see it, that each coach should be adhering to in order to ensure their athlete(s) are getting the coaching experience they deserve. So, below are my big four that every online personal program should be following.
What Is Conquer’s MMA Fitness Program?
The Conquer MMA program is developed alongside my training of the fighters from FAA CT (Fighting Arts Academy). Over the years, we have built a program that allows these fighters and practitioners to train on and off the mats in a way that compliments the other.
Why Your Online CrossFit Programming Isn’t Working
The problem that many people have around following a program always comes down to results and expectations. I often hear about people program-hopping due to a lack of progress from their current track. Now, I am not going to get into program-hopping because that in itself can generate another short essay. What I am going to talk about today are a few reasons why you are not seeing results with your current online CrossFit programming track.
Why Masters Athletes Need a Personal Coach
Masters athletes require a personal coach who understands them, their goals, their needs, and their abilities even more than other athletes in order to make sure they are being guided along the right path to drive the right adaptation.
Introducing Conquer Athlete’s MMA Fitness Program

Is Remote CrossFit Coaching Right For You?
Many people ask if remote CrossFit coaching is right for them. So I made a list of questions that if you answer “yes” to one or more than one of the following, then yes, remote CrossFit coaching (with a good company and coaches who have had extensive experience and success with remote Individual Design Coaching) is right for you.
The 5 Step Process to Writing a Good Training Program
A key aspect to writing a good program is to have a sound understanding of the principles around strength and conditioning - so that you can always provide what is needed for that person to make the right progress.
Here are the five principles that you can apply to any athlete, in any field, and if you follow them, you can set your client up for success over time.
The winning plan for the CrossFit Open
In the world of CrossFit the word “Open” can strike fear and excitement all at once into everyone who is registered to compete in this years 2022 CrossFit Season. Now, with that being said, there are still some principles around competing that sometimes get overlooked. Good thing for you Conquer has just the thing.

An Uncommon Opinion On a Popular Action
I wanted to get this thought down on paper as I have been seeing and listening to more and more people talk about things that they don’t fully understand, and thus they grab onto it with little-to-no research and start to run wild with it. What I want to quickly mention in this article deals with the usage of cold therapy and how it is being, in my opinion, mishandled.
5 Unconventional Habits to Start That Will Make You a Better CrossFit Athlete
I am sure that if I were to ask you what you need to do to improve your abilities for the New Year, you could rattle off twenty different principles or methods to implement that you feel could give you an edge. The crazy part is, that if you do perform these habits, I have no doubt you will become better.

3 CrossFit Programming Secrets Your Coach Doesn’t Want You to Know
Some coaches out there like to think that their information is under lock and key and they would never consider sharing thoughts or tips with other coaches or their clients. This, to me, is the sign of an immature coach. This field is only where it is today from those who paved the way before us and shared all their information with those who came after them. For that matter, it is up to us to pave the way for those who are following in our footsteps and will bring our field into the next stage!
What to Look for in a Good CrossFit Template Program
Let’s start by defining what a training template is. This is a program that someone writes and it is followed by a group of people. A training template is not individualized, and it is usually based on a single person or avatar. The person or group that is following the template will all be performing the same training sessions as everyone else on the program.
What I want to go through are the pros and cons, as well as what to look for when you are shopping around.
